The British government is ready to advance with employing the full worth of seized Russia's assets to bolster the Ukrainian military campaign, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has stated.

In a collective announcement, the heads of state of the United Kingdom, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany asserted that this unified step would increase strain on Russia's leader Vladimir Putin and urge Moscow to participate in talks.

They clarified that the move would be implemented in tight collaboration with the America.

British sanctions have blocked over £25bn of Russia's resources since Moscow began its full-scale invasion against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. Yet, up to this point, funds sent to the Ukrainian government using Russian holdings had solely been sourced from profits and interest earned on them.

Sir Keir assured President Volodymyr Zelensky that the Britain, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany were united in their aim to drive progress toward utilizing the complete amount of the seized Russian sovereign holdings to end the war.

He noted that more sanctions soon would increase the strain on the Russian government.

This declaration comes after European Union representatives convened in the Danish capital previously to debate employing seized Russian assets for a €140bn loan to Ukraine.

In the previous month, US President Donald Trump called on Group of Seven partners to take or utilize seized Russia's assets, according to media sources.

The value of immobilized Russia's assets in the EU is estimated to be approximately €211bn.

The Russian government carried out widespread aerial attacks throughout the Ukrainian territory on that day, causing blackouts in many areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, and eight other regions.

In a post on social media following the strike, Zelensky wrote that the premeditated assault targeted public and utility structures.
